I've posted a new link to a short documentary video featuring Brian Jordon, MD (one of my former medical students, now Chief Pediatrics Resident, University of Michigan Health System) working in the Peruvian Amazon with a traditional shaman. I'm very pleased to announce that I am the recipient of the 2007-2008 Outstanding Teacher Award for Clinical Faculty Teaching, given by the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA for my work in the Doctoring Program.

My article on perianesthesia nursing, posted under Articles, won a 2006 Mary Hanna Memorial Journalism Award.
